Business Development Representative - Biogas (Germany)

We do this by delivering plug-and-play mobile filters to our B2B clients across Europe. We recycle our own saturated filters by taking back the spent activated carbon for reactivation, making our filter solutions circular.

As our Business Development Representative, you are a true opportunity seeker when it comes to the Biogas and Biomethane market. Within Desotec, you will have the following important responsibilities:

  • Your core responsibility is developing new business opportunities in Europe within the market of Biogas and Biomethane purification. You do this by:
    • Identifying prospects based on market & customer insights
    • Actively reaching out to potential customers in order to detect their (future) technical and commercial needs
    • Connecting these technical and commercial needs with Desotec’s (future) solutions and this in cooperation with the prospect/customer
    • Building a sustainable and long-term relationship with our prospects & customers
  • Our Biogas Market Intelligence Manager will provide input, insights and direction to identify and connect to interesting prospects
  • You will be supported in your role by our Application Specialists, Regional Sales Directors and the Business Development team
  • You work independently from a home office base, with regular visits to our HQ in Roeselare
  • You are prepared to roll up your sleeves, step into the market and travel frequently, if needed with stays overnight

  • Bachelor or master in (bio-)chemical/bioscience engineering 
  • Passionate about (learning more on) biogas, biomethane and renewable energy   
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in a business development/sales function
    • Experience in a related sector such as environmental technology, chemistry, air/water purification or ground remediation is an asset   
  • Strong communication and networking skills
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills
  • Structured way of working
  • Proactive, no-nonsense and hands-on
